There are Hetzner instances running for more than 115 minutes in the Continuous Integration project that holds the gitlab-ci-runner VMs.

This usually means that the hetzner-gitlab-runner wasn’t able to clean up instances properly or something else is stuck.

Long running instances produce costs.

Diagnosis #

Login to the Hetzner Cloud Console and check for running instances

Mitigation #

Delete unneeded instances, check if they come back and what is running on the current hetzner-gitlab-runner instances in the cluster.
